Wolf power or spirit animals point to an appetite for freedom and living life powerfully, guided by instincts. When a wolf manifests its presence as a guide in your life, it could be a call to live your life more freely, to bring the intensity of passion in your everyday endeavors.
Wolves are wild animals that are not easily domesticated and when they appear as spirit guides, they could be an invitation to look at what supports your authentic self and the true expression of yourself. The wolf totem is a reminder to keep your spirit alive and trust your instincts to find the way that will best suit you.
An example of determination and resilience
In the wild, wolves may face many challenges and obstacles, but they persevere and find ways to survive and thrive. This tenacious animal can adapt to changing circumstances, no matter how hard they seem to be.

A symbol of community and connection

The dark side of the wolf spirit animal
The dark side of the wolf totem: Sensitivity about feelings of threat
A wolf totem animal can represent a perceived threat or feeling you are being threatened. The presence of this spirit animal could be a reminder of an event, situation or a person you feel threatened by.
The wolf could reflect something that may have a “predatory” feel to it and instill a feeling of vulnerability that is not reassuring. Encountering your spirit animal in such a way invites you to look at who or what in your life is having such an influence.
Perhaps your spirit animal is warning you about challenges with personal boundaries: You may feel you have exposed yourself too much with someone or in a certain situation and need to pull back or strengthen emotional or physical boundaries with that person or in the context of that experience. The wolf as a spirit animal could also remind you that you’re facing stiff competition at work or that the behavior of people around may feel like you have to deal with a “pack of wolves”.
The wolf as representation being guided or misguided by instincts
Since a common meaning for the wolf spirit animal emphasizes the role of instincts, having this animal as a guide or totem could point to your relationship with how you live your life, and more specifically how you trust or mistrust your instincts and intuitive guidance.
Check whether you feel threatened by your own instincts and feelings. The presence of your wolf power animal could reflect your inner emotional landscape and bring to your awareness your own feelings about a matter that is highly emotionally charged.
Dream interpretation of the wolf spirit animal
The dream meanings associated with the wolf point to powerful instincts or habits that could be experienced as aggressive or dominating by others. Wolves in dreams convey the energetic imprint of strong sexual energy or addictive behaviors of different kinds that would benefit from being kept in check.
If a woman dreams of a wolf in a nightmare or anxious dream, she may be getting in touch with anxiety relating to a male partner who may be pushing his sexual desires very strongly or pushing her boundaries. The intensity of the relationship can cause fear and be experienced as a threat that the wolf symbolizes in the dream.
If the dream has a positive tone or outcome, the wolf could be interpreted as a guiding symbol for trusting your instincts more or expressing them in a more balanced manner. If you have such a dream, ask yourself if you feel at ease and supported by your instincts, especially your sexuality or a partner’s sexual expression, or other types of “cravings” in your life.

- Like the wolf that howls, do you need to let some of the tension out and express yourself loud and clear in your circle of close relationships?

i’m a girl and I live in Portugal and i dreamt with an Iberic wolf with a deer leg on its mouth, when he saw me he dropped it and was coming closer to me so I got scared and I did something that I dont normally do and tried to scare what i was afraid of wich in a normal situation I would have ran since I get scared easily. At first it backed off but then it tried to get closer again but it didnt show his teeth, but it seemed angry.this happened right by my house so I quickly went inside and closed the door. he started to try opening it with his paw and for some reason i couldnt lock it I had to hold the door with strenght to keep the wolf outside.
I think it has to do with someone close to me probably my boyfriend .it could have no meaning at all but when I knew the wolf was gone a bear entered my house and tried to attack me with a raging temper, it was really angry.
thank you for reading it.
In my dream I took the form of a vicious wolf, taking to snarling in an aggressive display of alpha male.
I didn’t have a dream, this happened while I was awake, I was going through a stressful situation, and sat down and closed my eyes/w my hand over my face and saw a beautiful white wolf, passing me in attack mode, it was attacking something, running pass me!I described it and found a pic exactly as I described it-“Alpha female white wolf”
I keep having a dream that I’m wandering around the city with a group of friends,in the dream the city has pretty much plunged into chaos and is falling apart or rotting so to speak we then start running sort of playfully but with purpose to to get out of the city, running faster and faster pushing ourselves to the limit I then start transforming at first I dont know what I’m turning into but catch a glimpse of myself in the window just as a reach the borders of the city and leap over its walls I’ve transformed into a very big and powerful wolf with silver fur not grey or white but propper silver I then circle the city and end off running through one of the boundry walls breaking it as if it were made out of thin mud
During the transformation I remember thinking what am I? As i see myself as Wolf in the window I remember saying very loudly in a deep and powerful voice “I am Silverwolf “
How can I change my username! Plz help, I don’t like being called anonymous
I Love wolves !
Well I love tigers and tigers are stronger than wolves
that’s like saying whales are stronger, tigers are bigger. if a tiger were the same size as wolf… anyway all animals are different, that is why there’s food chain, but that doesn’t mean any of them are more or less important than any other.
I’m not talking about if a tiger or wolf is less important than the other. Most people think they have wolves as their spirit animal but obviously it isn’t. Wolves are toooooooooooooooooooo overrated
Hmmm
Love wolves !
Why do people like wolves so much, they are basically dogs. I’m glad my spirit animal is a tiger :D
How would I know what my spirit animal is?
take the spirit animal test
Wolves are much smarter than dogs and kill humans in some cases
Ya right.Everybody chooses wolves as we are famous unlike you. Do not underestimate the power of the wolf.
A tiger was sneaking around my pack, my pack worked together to hunt the tiger down. I then became the tiger, I now lead my pack as a tiger. Also my dog and cat successfully had a child together lol
Actually, you are wrong. Wolves are not ‘basically’ dogs. Wolves are the species that ALL dogs are stemmed from, so if you want to be pedantic about it, dogs are actually just a subspecies wolves.
Whilst the Tigers ancestry is still Feline, there’s no difference between its ancestral history and a common house cats, whereas the wolf ‘fathered’ an entire set of sub-species.
Boy, do I need help with this one.
It all started when I was 15, I started having these same exact weird dreams. I was running through a foggy grim forest. Running in deep fear through the woods. And What’s chasing me behind were not only just grey wolves but Wolves with skulls as their faces. (not human skulls just a real skeleton heads of these particular wolves). Chasing after me, always after me for no apparent reason. But I was afraid on what they could do to me. These dreams I’ve been having them for the past 2 years. In the same pattern as always just me being chased by Skull faced wolves at a grim foggy forest. But then suddenly something happen to me in my own personal life after those 2 years since I had those dreams. One of my Eldest Sisters past away from cancer in 2009. It was probably one of the most roughest year of my life at the age of 17. I’ve definitely gone through depression in those first few months of that year. I literally couldn’t grasp the hardship of losing someone so close to my family. After a couple of months since my sister’s passing, I started to notice a change in my dreams now. Whatever dream I was in, it always ended the same or kinda similar ending. Instead of being chased by these sort of Wolves, I somehow become a part of the pack with these creatures now. For instance, There was this one dream I had and this time, I was walking through a sunny grassy meadow breathing in the fresh air but I wasn’t walking alone. I was walking WITH the pack alongside them. As if I was a part of their group. Pretty weird, I know o.o Or another same dream I had, I was sitting down next to one skull face wolf (not even sure it could be the alpha one but I do remember he was huge sitting next to me) and we’re both just staring into what seems like the ocean sunset view. I’m 23 now And yes, To this day no matter what dreams I have in any particular day. Those wolves (most definitely those skull faced ones) will always leave a deep impression on me before I even wake up in the mornings. Now just recently I decided to do some research on this and I discovered that, as quoted – “Wolves are spiritual guides in the Afterlife in many Native American and European traditions. A Wolf skull symbolizes your understanding of Death and, in a sense, you are calling on the Wolf to be your guide. You are fearless in the face of your Death, like the powerful wolf.” – After reading this small excerpt I found, It literally blew my mind and everything started to make sense!!
But yet could I be wrong? Could this mean to something else? Could they have been my spirit guides this whole time? Even to this day? or do I really need to see a psychiatrist and see what’s really wrong with me? O_O Definitely need some Helpful Advice ♥ Thanks !
Sounds like in the beginning the wolves were chasing because your sister was sick and dying. Your psychic self may have even known this before she got diagnosed. They were your fear of the death coming. Now that you’ve seen it and it’s part of your life, so are they. Accepting the death and embracing life and your intuition may make them start to appear more normal. Don’t be afraid to talk to them. Meditate and call to them and ask them what you need to do or why they are with you. They have embraced you into their pack, embrace them and you may learn a lot.
I had a dream where I was running around with two grey wolves. Running from family members because they told me we needed to get rid of the wolves. Which I was mad about. So instead I ran away with them. They had names I called them. One had a collar on “collie” he was very calm and listened to me. Stayed close to me. He was more grey. The other one Dez was more outgoing. He had more black in his color. He wanted to fight with other animals. I had to stop him by holding his scruff. He never was violent to me though. I was slightly scared of him in the beginning. When I was running with them it was through my neighborhood. It felt so good to run with them. Like it was what I always wanted to do. They would both look back every so often to make sure I was keeping up. I was always in human form for this dream. They were both very protective of me. The two wolves were like opposites of each other but both wanted to stay close to me. Collie ended up hurting himself. Dez didn’t seem to care but I was the one who took care of him. But Dez was always close to check the situation. Also when ever we were just walking Collie would walk in sync with me not touching me. Dez would walk a little ahead but something was always touching me. His hip/ tail. Or my hand was resting on his back.
I had a dream where I was captive in a village and in order to become strong enough against my captors, my sister and I went to visit the wolves under the moonlight by their cave entrance. We mated with wolves, each with two it felt really great.
Does anyone have an idea what this can mean?
If you mated with the wolves it means you had sex with the wolves…
ure sick man
Shamanicaly, this is a very powerful dream. The wolves — two of your power animals — are giving you their attributes/power by mating with you. Learn to journey shamanicaly and you can communicate with them. :)
i think it means that you’re spirit animal is the wolf and it helped you to success.
I have always felt a deep connection to the life and its mysteries and I appreciated the fact that we can relate to animals. While I do not know if I had a true vision of the Wolf in my dreams (most of them I forgot about or dont know if they were real dreams or forced imagination), its presence is all around me. I see the animal almost everywhere around me from simple video games to characters to even the word it’s self. As I read more articles on the Wolf, I felt deeply connected with the animal as if it was a part of me, but reading on the Wolf also got me interested into reading on other animals like the Owl or Hawk and taking the Spirit Animal Test. When I did the test, I never got the Wolf as my spirit animal rather a humming bird. While I do relate to the bird, I felt my intuition telling me its the Wolf. Maybe it is not my time to meet my animal but in any case my intrigue in those symbolism urges me to know if truly the Wolf is the animal for me.
