Is The Owl Your Spirit Animal?
Find out now with the new Spirit Animal Quiz. This free online quiz will help you find your spirit animal the easy way.
I am an owl, and one of first encounters I had in the in the wild with an owl was very odd. I was by myself on a bird hunt (dove, quail). This was one of my first times, mind you I have not gone since after this experience. I was walking along this long long field with a sunflowers and cat tails on my left, as I was walking I had a strong urge to look to my left, like I was being pulled. I looked to my left and I saw an owl, face down on the ground with one claw clutching a cat tail. I took the barrel of my firearm and flipped it over and its whole body was riddled with bird shot and I instantly felt disgusted and a rage come over me. At that moment I turned around and left and have not been bird hunting since. I have always been very intellectual, never party or go out to those social events, and prefer to study on my own for my own intellectual growth, I crave knowledge, particularly history and philosophy. I think about what that moment meant, but it is certainly strange that it happened, and it is my spirit animal. any thoughts?
First, congratulations on giving up bird hunting. It doesn’t require much skill or intelligence to kill animals. You sound like a man more in touch with his heart center. A man who is on an intelligent path. The symbolic meaning of your story, to me, means you were defaulting on your own wisdom and intelligence by hunting. You are wise enough to feel the significance of the situation, proving your superior intelligence and compassion for animals. Maybe you should explore the idea of a vegetarian or vegan diet. It’s easier than you think, and you will begin to experience a connection and appreciation for all life. Every time we eat an animal, we are also eating it’s stress and suffering. Chemicals are released into the flesh as the animal suffers and dies. That has harmful effects to our mind and bodies. After a few months without eating this suffering, you will begin to see life from a new perspective. Good luck to you.
What does it mean when you see a dead owl? I saw a dead owl while I was walking my dog yesterday. I’ve started to believe that the owl is my spirit animal since December last year, when an owl appeared before a great change happened in my life. I saw another owl a month after that and things have changed for me yet again. So seeing this dead owl has shaken me a bit. I’m worried that it symbolizes death…either for me or for someone close to me.
Maybe is sybolizes that things will stay the same for a while or be stagnant? The only white owl I have ever seen was dead, in the snow…but still a stunningly gorgeous animal. I have always wondered what it meant.
All my life I am wondering super powers exist, I guess they do, but not like the superhero you would expect like in movies. I have always felt like I can see things others cant’t, like how someone really feels even when they say their “Fine”.
Wow this is so accurate!! Btw the owl has ALWAYS been my favourite animal since I was a little girl. My bedroom walls are full of pictures and drawings of owls and this has explained a lot.
I began hearing an owl hooting outside every night. I like to just listen to it hoot & wonder if there is some meaning behind it. I practice wicca, solitary &am wondering what this might mean
I always hear owl hooting from the window I have and odd connection to owls

This is a really bad site. Ytou guys need some help
As within so without…Do you need some help?
Those who cannot see have forever been trying to convince those that do, that they do not. It is a very scary, lonely place to not see what others are. It compels us to become defensive and offensive, not unlike a child, or adult for that matter, throwing a temper tantrum because somebody has something that they think they don’t have. Your path is sacred, Kamalpreet, because only from being being blind does one learn to see. I take no offence from your offensive remarks, for I ‘see’ my path and I know it to be true, and therefore have no doubt, so I can be at peace with yours.
It’s amazing the symbolism bird have. Almost 9yrs ago a bird kept flying into the window of my home while my mom was home alone. She would call me and say you hear this crazy bird keep flying into the window. I called my great grandma who was in her late nineties and ask if she knew what that ment .. She said Death at the time a cousin was dying.. We like oh wow…. Just a few days later my mom was killed while standing at the bus stop going to work. Hit by a stray bullet! I’m a made believer in the power of birds… It wasn’t an owl running into the window but owls have always been my favorite animal.
One of my closest childhood friends committed suicide. Two months later I went on my first vacation EVER out of the country. I live in Ottawa Canada & the vacation was to Disney World in Florida! Needless to say I was in a depression. Went on the vacation early February. So our coldest month of winter. Out of boredom / curiosity, while everyone was sleeping. I ventured out on a nature walk alone on the resort. Something called Orange Lake or something like that, very beautiful scenery. I was laying on a beach chair that was reclined out and started talking to the sky in hopes that my old friend was listening. When I stopped, a HUGE white owl with wing span wider than I can reach soared no more than ten feet above me and perched up on a tree directly beside me. We starred into one another’s eyes for what seemed like an eternity but was probably like 5-10 mins and he soared off. It was around midnight and the tree was tall so none of my pics turned out. I am of Native American decent and that experience opened the door to spirituality for me. Will always believe it was my friend trying to speak to me. :)
I am searching Google because I have seen an owl several times today. It was looking through my bathroom window. I tried to make a picture of it but it would go higher in the tree. I felt that I was being warned of something.
Last night I had dream of so many owls and owlets most of them were in yellow and black colour. My husband is telling me to catch them but I was unable to catch them. Suddenly a man came who is very tall, strong and of a blue and dark colour. He just whistled and owl jumped and came into his hand and he told me if you want to learn how to catch them come to me on Saturday.
But amazing thing is that I come to know about my husband’s affair a week before itself. Now I want to know is there anything I should do further in that case
