When lion spirit animals warn about challenges
This spirit animal could point to one of your weak spots or a difficult situation you’re experiencing. The lion animal spirit guide is perhaps showing you the way to deal with the issue and keep going with the courage it also embodies.
Lions could also represent an authority that may feel overpowering or a conflicting relationship with power and authority. When you see a lion as a spirit animal, it could symbolize external power, authority, forces that dominate or rule parts of your life. For instance, if you dream about a scar or threatening lion, it may remind you that you need to deal with an overbearing boss, partner or teacher in your waking life.
Lion spirit animal, symbol for anger & personal struggle
Seeing your lion spirit animal could be an invitation to control your temper or your moderate aggressive impulses. For instance, observe if you could really listen to what people have to say before striking back at them. Or explore how to express your needs or anger more openly and constructively to reduce your level of frustration.
If you are dreaming of being chased by a lion, it may represent a situation that brings about personal struggle. Common dream scenarios with threatening lions are as follows: A lion suddenly appears in your dream. You feel threatened by this wild animal known for devouring its prey with no mercy. The lion is now preying on you. You’re trying to escape, but it is still behind you, chasing you like you’re about to get devoured.
Dream interpretation: Being chased by a lion
This lion dream scenario is classic. Dreaming of being chased by a lion is one of the most common themes featuring this creature in the dream world. The lion chasing you generally connects to the struggle the dreamer is experiencing regarding feelings of anger or aggression in waking life.
The dream about your lion spirit animal could point to anger you may feel towards someone or aggression that is directed at you. Being chased by a lion in a dream could be a warning from your animal totem that you’re struggling with these feelings and how to express them. The lion totem could mean that you’re having difficulties dealing with a situation where someone is mean or aggressive with you.
Scary dreams about lions
Terrorized by your lion dream?
This kind of dream is expressing in strong images what you actually feel within. The meaning of your lion dream is symbolic and likely represents the intense psychological or emotional tensions you are experiencing in your waking life. Dreaming about a lion in this way is an invitation to examine what’s happening in your life that is causing tension and despair.
Most likely, you’re facing a challenging situation or behavior that is hard to comprehend at a conscious level and the lion appears as a spirit animal to help. It may be too hard to deal with or seem unacceptable to you and therefore is rejected out of your awareness, a bit like a protection, a defense mechanism. The presence of your lion spirit animal could be a warning to pay attention to a situation or person who’s creating worries or concerns for you.
On a positive note, a terrifying lion is likely indicating that you’re in the process of becoming more aware of the issues at hand. It works as a reminder that whatever is bothering you in your waking life needs to come out in the open to be dealt with. Bring forth the courage that lion totems symbolize.
Lion spirit animals in dreams: When the lion bites you
A lion that bites you in your dream could be a warning from your spirit animal and signify that you’re feeling overwhelmed in your waking life. The source of worries could be about feelings you or someone else may have or a situation that is particularly challenging. The image of the lion bite is a strong call to look at what’s going on in your life that could feel threatening or dangerous before it really “bites” you.
Another interpretation of such lion dream is to ask yourself what is dominating your life these days and see if you can bring more balance.
Scary images of lion spirit animals and the “shadow self”
When you are scared by the presence of your lion spirit animal, whether it’s in dreams or in waking life, this could be an invitation to look at your “shadow self”. The shadow self is a part of yourself that you prefer to keep “in the shadow” or the dark. In other words, a part of yourself you would hide or reject because it’s not likeable, you or other people think it’s unacceptable, not worthy, etc.
Your spirit animal indicates the need to look at these aspects of yourself and resolve the tensions inner conflicts may create. For instance, by just starting to acknowledge parts of your “shadow self”, looking at them, perhaps understanding what they are about, what they are connected with, you can start bringing a better understanding of yourself.

I had a dream that didn’t directly involve a lion but involves onew none the less. I dreamed that I awoke and went to get my candles (for reasons unknown to me still) perhaps to perform some candle magick or for meditation. But I found them utterly destroyed as if chewed up and chopped afterwards with a blade. I then went to fetch my boline knife (again for reasons unknown to me) and no sooner than I grasped it my left haND was in pain and bleeding. Upon my palm was carved “seal ei leii” which if translated is Romanian for “seal her lions”. I’m a man so clearly it spoke not of me. Anyone know what all this may mean?
You’re not supposed to be able to read in your dreams. So whatever was on your hand was either completely nonsense or that wasn’t as much of a dream as you think and something paranormal happened.
I may not have had a dream about lions but I always feel comfortable when I’m in there presence or thinking about them dose that mean that the lion may be my spirt animal
Had a lion dream, the lion was in my old wooden house (which this house already being demolished and build a new one) somewhere in the kitchen area, then I tried to chase it away, it saw me and came for me instead, I run and tried locking the door, that lion seem very angry and trying to reach me while i try to push the door to lock it and that the time i wake up…. do any of you know what it suppose to be…;((
I had a dream about two lions and they are my best friends and one male n female brother and sister and male lion transformed into human and I tied a thread in his hands it’s totally emotional what is that mean … am hearing the word lion and seeing the pictures of lion as if someone wants me to take notice of that word
What does it mean when you see Mufasa as a puppet standing in front of you? Yes he’s from The Lion King but I also dreamt that night of Batman. Though I will say my sister is pregnant again and I am jealous of her yet again so perhaps it wanted me to confront that jealousy? Although when I take the quiz I end up with snake I feel a lion or wolf is more accurate for me.
I had a dream I was standing at the bottom of a hill with a 10″ green chain link fence with the double gate opened on the right of me. First a cat ran in and stopped, then a bobcat ran in covered the cat, then a cougar ran into the fenced in area and when before it disappeared a male lion stood at the top of the hill looking at me.
This morning, I had a dream of a Male lion. When I was at home , near the garage, a male lion just showed up in front of my sister’s car. I was on a driver seat & tried to tease the lion by hitting it using the car..
When I’m out of the car, turned out the lion was angry & chased me around the neighbourhood. My family just watched me being chased by a lion with their smile. & the funny thing is during that time, I feel a bit motivated, nervous yet enjoyable when I was running away from that lion. It seems in my dream, I like to tease that lion and made it angry.
When the lion stopped and took a rest back at the garage, it was surrounded by my family, crowded. My sister , my mom n my cousins were teasing the lion during that time. Then, I came into the crowd just to see that lion. When I get near, the lion smelled my scent and saw me in the crowd, it began to chase me again. I was surprised that the lion only wanted to chase me even tho my family were teasing it too. Maybe the way I teased the lion was a bit cruel.
So I ran again, got chased by a lion. This time, I ran outside my neighbourhood and it was unstoppable. I jumped over the gate of the ancient house so as the lion. The lion nearly caught me & I didn’t even get exhausted.. The lion keep chasing me and I keep running away from it until I woke up . What does that sign mean?
When l was young, I used to dream of lions and snakes chasing me, but as l grew those dreams went away. However last night l had one of those chaser dreams again and this time the dream was quite specific and l remember everything so clear like it happened in my waking life.
It looked like l had just arrived home to visit my folks as l was standing at the gate with some people who seemed close to me. My father is a mechanic, so there were a few cars in the yard as per norm. Then out of the blue, a big male lion came out of those cars and escaped. While we were in the streets trying to figure out what just happened we saw this lion coming at us in full speed. When the lion got to us, it came straight for me, even though I tried to hide behind someone. My immediate instinct was to run. I ran to the closest house with high walls and jumped over. This lion also jumped over but the wall to escape out of that house was even taller. I managed to climb it but stayed on top expecting the lion to jump over so l can climb down but it never did. And because I was terrified l stayed up there untill an old lady who was suprisingly tall helped me slide to her back and took me home.
When l got home, l felt like l can’t trust the cars outside my folks place anymore so l left without even getting inside. Took a bus full of other people leaving too. On the way we saw a lot of Apes dressed like humans and going about their business, but we just ignored them.
As we swiftly left what now looked like a spooky town, l saw something on the road l thought we will need later, so l asked the driver to stop a bit so l could quickly pick it up, but as soon as the bus stopped, l saw that lion again coming from the nearby bushes. It was quite far from us so everyone thought we’ll quickly pick up our item and drive off. But because I was too exhausted physically and emotionally from the earlier episodes with the same lion, I didn’t want to take that risk. So l quickly climbed back to the bus and asked the driver to shut the bus door behind me and close all windows.
I remember feeling so relieved as we drove away. Then l woke up.
Hi
I had a dream of 3 skinny lions in my house and was afraid to enter the house, They dint fight me or show any agressivnes. I was just scared
My sprit animal is a great beast kabaro.????????It is true
I had a dream my wife brought a middle size lion into our house I became afraid and wanted to go away but she asked me not to be afraid.I got closer and it started to play with me,it grabbed me by the left wrist and pressed and finally left me,I checked but there was signs of injuries. What does this dream means ?
Did you say there were signs of injuries? Normally there shouldn’t be any signs of injuries, as this is a common dream people have. Often times your spirit animal can manifest itself in your dreams and make physical contact with you, whether by licking your hand, biting you or grabbing you. In your dream there should be no pain, injury or panic, merely acceptance of the fact that the two of you are linked together in a spiritual connection.
If not for your writing this topic could be very coelnvutod and oblique.
I only have lion dreams of being one or riding one (the Lions are mostly male)lions are my favorite animal too.is it just a coincidence or no?
This is not a coincidence. Being one with your spirit animal in your dreams in common as the spirit animal is merely a manifestation of your existing qualities. The fact that in your dreams you are a lion, or riding one, shows that you are clearly embodying your spirit animal, even outside of your dreams, in the waking world.
