I know this isn’t how I should think of things, but personally I don’t want to be a butterfly. Yes, they are pretty and cute, but whenever I think of them I think of something really sad that happened when I was younger. I was in a butterfly garden which was packed, and the employee let a little boy hold a big, beautiful butterfly. That little boy just crushed it, right there in his hand. So now I only think of how weak they are.

This is extremely interesting for several reasons.

    1) a butterfly usually flits from flower to flower – I’ve always made connections very easily with others, so this sounds a lot like me.

    2) I recognize that internally, I am on a serious path of transformation – in terms of career and also personality

    3) My transformative path will involve me expressing myself more, most likely through writing.

Finally, I enjoyed others’ descriptions of the butterfly. It’s ability to fly against the strongest winds whilst remaining graceful is a beautiful metaphor for how we should approach life.

I like to wear colourful clothes and I hate it when I hit a butterfly with my car so I am constantly weaving all over the road to miss them.
I love their pretty colours and their strength in flying against the strongest winds. I alwys marvel at the way they fly seemingly all over the place but always land on the flower that beckons them.
They are so beautiful witht heir armoured shields of colour held upon their wings, that is what comes off if you touch the wings, their wing shields.

As a little girl I used to collect caterpillars and watch them transform into butterflies. It was so amazing to me to watch. As I grew older and would go for nature walks I would see butterflies all around me and feel complete peace and joy in my spirit and whatever situation I would be going through my thoughts toward it would change. I truly believe my spirit animal is a butterfly
