The dark side of the wolf spirit animal
The dark side of the wolf totem: Sensitivity about feelings of threat
A wolf totem animal can represent a perceived threat or feeling you are being threatened. The presence of this spirit animal could be a reminder of an event, situation or a person you feel threatened by.
The wolf could reflect something that may have a “predatory” feel to it and instill a feeling of vulnerability that is not reassuring. Encountering your spirit animal in such a way invites you to look at who or what in your life is having such an influence.
Perhaps your spirit animal is warning you about challenges with personal boundaries: You may feel you have exposed yourself too much with someone or in a certain situation and need to pull back or strengthen emotional or physical boundaries with that person or in the context of that experience. The wolf as a spirit animal could also remind you that you’re facing stiff competition at work or that the behavior of people around may feel like you have to deal with a “pack of wolves”.
The wolf as representation being guided or misguided by instincts
Since a common meaning for the wolf spirit animal emphasizes the role of instincts, having this animal as a guide or totem could point to your relationship with how you live your life, and more specifically how you trust or mistrust your instincts and intuitive guidance.
Check whether you feel threatened by your own instincts and feelings. The presence of your wolf power animal could reflect your inner emotional landscape and bring to your awareness your own feelings about a matter that is highly emotionally charged.
Dream interpretation of the wolf spirit animal
The dream meanings associated with the wolf point to powerful instincts or habits that could be experienced as aggressive or dominating by others. Wolves in dreams convey the energetic imprint of strong sexual energy or addictive behaviors of different kinds that would benefit from being kept in check.
If a woman dreams of a wolf in a nightmare or anxious dream, she may be getting in touch with anxiety relating to a male partner who may be pushing his sexual desires very strongly or pushing her boundaries. The intensity of the relationship can cause fear and be experienced as a threat that the wolf symbolizes in the dream.
If the dream has a positive tone or outcome, the wolf could be interpreted as a guiding symbol for trusting your instincts more or expressing them in a more balanced manner. If you have such a dream, ask yourself if you feel at ease and supported by your instincts, especially your sexuality or a partner’s sexual expression, or other types of “cravings” in your life.

In February of 2018 I had been in a coma for 10 days. I was sent to a rehabilitation facility to get my strength back. The first morning I was there I went and opened the blinds to let the sun in and standing at my window was a black and gray wolf. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I closed and opened them several times and it was still there. I was in s city so I was thinking to myself that they must have given me the wrong medication and I was hallucinating. Well I wasn’t it just sat there looking at me and I looked at it. How beautiful was this magnificent creature. I asked oneof my wiccan friends if and what it meant and she told me it is my power animal. It’s actually my masculine right side power animal. She didn’t know this but I actually died twice during my coma and she commenced to tell me that he is what brought me back from the dead and he wanted me to know of his presence in my life. I got chills. And I had a animal spirit reading and sure enough my masculine right side is the wolf. I’m proud to be of the Wolf clan. My next tattoo will be the wolf rune. I am so blessed.
I have been blessed to have wolfs in my life, yes real ones they have brought there young. There’s to much to talk about them. But they have thought me alot
Hello, I have had 2 different wolf dreams within a week span. The first dream was a set of baby Cubs left in my back yard. In the dream I felt as if they needed taken care of, so I went out back and fed them. The second dream was of a grown gray wolf standing in the woods alone quite but seemed as if he/she wanted to tell me something. I wasn’t afraid just stood there eager to know. Can anyone tell me what these dreams may mean?
I had a dream about them at night. First, I was a wolf! I don’t even know what I look like. I was in a building full of people around me with other wolves. I saw the stairs and decided to run to it to get to the second floor. There was a man chasing me with his fancy suit on. I was growling with anger and stepped away from it. Then, I saw a room and I ran inside it with other wolves. I was still growling though…. then I WAS TALKING! My talk wasn’t clear though. It sounded like I was really angry. Then the man ran away… I THINK he ran away. That’s all
Several years ago I was going thru a loss of a friendship with someone I viewed as my best friend. Also during this time I was in the midst of grief from losing my stepfather. I was always the one that family members came to for guidance . Also I felt that others in my peer group sought me out for guidance or honesty in situations. The friend I lost also was my coworker. As you can imagine work became very uncomfortable and as a result I withdrew and tried to turn my attention to the needs of my family. I needed to support my mother as well as my brothers family as he was suffering from MS.
I was absorbed in my personal pain .
One night I awoke from a dream that involved a white wolf and a pack of white pups.
I have never dreamed of wolves in the past.
This dream was so real feeling that to this day I remember all details of it.
The dream began with me looking out my kitchen window and seeing a big white ish wolf running in the figure 8 back and forth. I called to my spouse to come and see , i expressed that we would need to watch our family pets closely. When I looked back to the window the wolf was right up to the window looking at me..our eyes locked at this point the wolf turned its head and looked towards the left..I followed its gaze and saw about 10 pups all heaped in a line with their ears back looking at me. My feeling was one of knowing that they were expecting or waiting for something from me. I looked back at the older wolf and it again had me look in the direction of the pups. The dream ended at this point. I awoke from it with the feeling that was a message. And to this day I believe it was important.
I would appreciate thoughts on this.

When u figured out he was my spirit animal i was alone in my kitchen getting food at night then he showed up in a zpirit form and scared me then i read this and understood and fixed what was wrong in my life but before when i was 14 to 16 yrs old i had him in my dreams many times and bow looking back i see why he was there i had many trials and tribulations in my life. I want the wolf to be my spirit animal.
I have had a wolf spirit guide since young and even as a baby. I never noticed her until recently. When I get injured, part of her and she herself helps to heal it. She is very wise and even helps to give me a chance to maintain aggression. Wolf Spirit Guides are wise and very smart, smart to the point where they tell you of a situation. You only hear them if your subconscious part is a slight bit active. She is also ancient, but is still strong and powerful. The reason she chose to be with me is due to seeing a potential I had and wanting to help sustain it and find a better goal than what was falsely shown before. Wolf Spirit Guides are a great thing to have, if you have traits that are similar…
