Snake spirit animals, symbols for healing

If you see the snake as your spirit or power animal, be sensitive to your healing abilities towards yourself or others. Cultivate sources of energy and support, especially as they relate to the earth and nature.
In ancient traditions as well as modern times, snakes are symbols of healing powers and opportunities. In the Greek mythology, Aesclepius, the god of medicine, is featured with two snakes climbing up a rod, the symbol of what is known today as the Caduceus.

Dream interpretation of snakes
When a snake appears in your dreams, it most likely acts as an animal spirit guide inviting you to look at important facts or dynamics that are impacting your life. Snakes featured in dreams often leaves a strong impression on the dreamer: Such dreams tend to be frightening or disturbing because they call on strong unconscious energy.
Whether the snake spirit animal featured in your dream leaves a positive or negative impression, its presence should be considered as an invitation to look at positive changes and transformation.
The dark side of snakes in dreams
When the snake appears in your dream leaves you with a negative feeling, make sure you consider positive meanings as well. The snake spirit animal often appears in dreams as a warning about personal struggles and the need to pay attention to things or events that are escaping your field of awareness.
For instance, when you dream of being bitten or attacked by a snake, it could mean that you need to be careful about important matters you’ve been ignoring so far. If the spirit animal featured in your dream in the shape of a snake is chasing you, it may represent a challenging situation or relationship that you have been avoiding and is pushing you around.
The bottom line is that a dream featuring a snake invites you to check what in your life is “poisonous” and to look at important matters before they sneak up on you and create more damage or difficulty.

An inspiring message from your spirit animal
Hear my silent whisper,
As I slither and glide,
I am the spirit of transformation,
The serpent by your side.
From the depths of the earth,
I rise to guide your way,
Through the trials and tribulations,
Of each and every day.
With my venom,
I bring healing,
And the power to let go,
Of the old and the worn,
And to welcome the new.
With my scales,
I remind you,
To trust in your own strength,
And to face your fears head-on,
With courage at length.
So heed my call, dear life traveler,
And allow me to guide,
Through the journey of self-discovery,
And to help you rise inside.

Then another much bigger black water snake came swimming at me and I tried to grab it but it was so strong and I could control it and it attacked me.

Your statement ” In the Greek mythology, Aesclepius, the god of medicine, is featured with two snakes climbing up a rod, the symbol of what is known today as the Caduceus.” is incorrect. The Asclepian staff is the symbol of medicine and features one snake wrapped around the staff. The caduceus is actually the staff of Hermes and features the two snakes wrapped around the staff and each other. The US Army mistakenly began using it as a medical symbol where as it is actually the symbol of commerce and/or publications. The important thing I wish to point out is that the Asclepian staff has only one snake, the Caduceus has two snakes. These two symbols are not interchangable but distinctly different.
Thank you ????
Thank you. It makes sense since western medicine is basically about profit and NOT health.
nice
thank you.
yes “mistakenly”, good point Karen.
I was on my daily walk and came across a black snake that had been ran over by a car. The snake is my spirit animal. What does it mean if the snake is dead?
I see snakes in my dream often and I keep running from it…
I’m 24 years and since my child birth have been seeing snakes
What does it mean and why do i keep running from it
Sounds like transformation of very deep, primal emotion. Evolving its way out of the body, will take conscious attention and focus (facing it), and allowing the focus to observe and allow the flow of what ever comes up (fear), in the flow.. and let it do its thing. let it flow through you.
Now is the time for this work.
You have noted very interesting details ! ps decent internet site.
Yesterday I while walking in my backyard I thought of a snake. I looked in the tall grass and immediately saw a small black snake looking at me.
I had a dream that I had lots of little snakes in my body. I made an incision on my right breast and could pull some of them out that way but then I had an xray and the Dr found some in my head and told me I needed surgery to remove them. I got referred to a middle eastern Dr who then was doing some kind of ceremony before the surgery. I could feel the snakes writhing and wiggling around in my body. Then I woke up.
I was surprised, but actually it is true I recognize my life at the moment ????
Very accurate . I always wanted a snake as a pet when I was a child . Life and experiences made me fearful of them . I now Live in Love : no room for fear , Lessoned Learned
