Sheep Spirit Animal
Sheep spirit animals as expression of innocence
The sheep spirit animal has strong bonds to innocence. The presence of this power animal may express a longing to have more innocent, child-like qualities in our life. It could also call on memories of situations or events where we felt innocent, when we or life had qualities of gentleness, and inspire you to bring more of these qualities in your present life.
The sheep spirit animal, symbol of vulnerability
When your spirit animal shows up in the shape of a sheep, it may point out feelings of vulnerability you’re experiencing in your waking life. If the tone of the encounter is tinted with despair or fear, especially if it’s in a dream, the presence of the sheep suggests that you’re overwhelmed by feeling vulnerable and powerless facing a difficult situation.
There’s also a positive side of the presence of this power animal that sheds a brighter light on what vulnerability means. The presence of the sheep could mean that you are getting in touch with a softer part of yourself, vulnerable in a positive way as open, available to feeling in a gentle, innocent manner.

Sheep spirit animals and desire for conformity
When the sheep shows up in your life, it can symbolize a desire to conform, to belong to a group or an environment. Having a sheep as a totem could be an expression of a part of you that desires to be like everyone else in order to better fit in, to belong and be part of the crowd.
An alternative perspective sees the sheep as a representation of a part of you that does not want to follow the same path or doctrines as the others. Being part of the crowd may feel comforting at first, but you may not be so happy about feeling like you’re being “herded” and have limited choices because you’re lost in the middle of the herd.
Healing potential of sheep spirit animal
Sheep spirit animals could be an expression of our vulnerability in positive way. They would represent vulnerability in the sense of compassionate acceptance of one’s limitations or pain.
This spirit animal points to being more tolerant with yourself, to look at emotional suffering you may experience in your current life with compassion and take care of yourself instead of blaming yourself or others for how bad you feel.
The spirit of the sheep could be calling you to work towards a state of self acceptance of your limits or weaknesses or the ones of others. There’s a lot of possibility for healing in the presence of this animal spirit guide.

I was walking down a road and a flock of lambs ran too me and started kissing me and I was petting them and they were happy .
So, here the sheep came to me in a negative way. Saturn is in retrograde. I am sitting nere eating a sweet cereal that does not uplift me knowing well that I should be focusing on my personal spirituality. This sheep asked me to look into my vulnerability and innocence where I do notvtake care of myself, but instead look at these moments of innocence and not loving myself enough to be myself… I am glad I get to break this pattern today. Thank you life.
I dreamed of a black sheep running from a bunch of tiny green lizards.
You’re weird
Interesting… been thinking a lot about black sheep being hounded by serpents…
I dreamt I was in a city and a black man was laying on the sidewalk with a small boy standing near him. The man looked dead and was bleeding from a wound on his head. There was a white sheep over him and it appeared that the sheep was eating his brains cause it had blood all over its mouth. A crowd of people gathered around and were about to stop the sheep when we all realized that the sheep was actually pulling something like a rock or thorn from his skull. As soon as it was removed the man came back to life. The sheep had saved his life!
I had a dream in which a white sheep was swimming peacefully in the sea away from other sheeps in a small island , until it reached the pich..While a dark goat was coming down in a pool violently but it controled himself…finally I traid to swim in the same pool but I failed?!!!!
Unkown sheep came to my house and having been making friend with my dog this time that my wife is about to deliver. I dont understand what this mean.this sheep sometimes stay in front of my door, when i open door i saw him running, every day for the past 4weeks.somebody explained this to me.
Had a dream a white sheep was following me everywhere I went. Not sure what this could mean.
Do you need to make more time in your life to do things for yourself. Do you need to become more gentle about the way you conduct yourself toward others? Are you following others or leading your own direction? The sheep is a totem to represent your own life choices to keep vulnerable and child like in your ways. Stay true to being innocent and happy with your decisions. Sheep represent good Luck and good things. Black sheep not so much but white sheep will mean powerful choices for you to return back to making for yourself that affect the way you care for others. Nice dream to have, I just had a dream of a white sheep with a black face following me too last night. I am a caregiver to an elder man. Sometimes, I am over worked and I have to help him everyday. Never a chance for my own life dreams by helping him. So I can see why I had this type of totem dream.
I had a dream that two sheeps was playing in the water with my son! Simple & plain…..What do you guys Think? I accept positive & Negative feedback
Should I be offended that My name means sheep or not?
Warning: My dream isn’t exactly the most pleasant encounter with a sheep, so forgive me.
My dream started in my backyard, facing southwest toward the forest and rocks. Right next to my swing set was a sheep just lying there. This was really cool because sheep are not commonly found in my county (let alone my backyard). I don’t know what possessed me to do what I did, but I decided to use a chainsaw to cut off a small patch of wool. I guess I was curious, but it wasn’t a very responsible thing to do. It began to run into the forest, but I called to it to come back. It turned around and came running toward me (angry-looking, and I don’t blame it) and as it came near, I got scared and swung the chainsaw at it – effectively decapitating the poor thing. It’s body stood motionless and its head lay in the grass to my right.
I ran into my house through the back door into the kitchen where my mother was at the stove making something purple and red (I don’t know what) for the upcoming holiday (which in the dream was either Passover or Purim – but in real life is in fact Passover). I offered to help, because I still felt badly about having killed a sheep in my backyard. She walked toward the sink and looked out the window… she saw the decapitated sheep. I tried to explain what happened, and how I was scared, but she was worried that I might be some kind of serial killer or something. I was reassuring her that that is simply not true, when my younger brother came home through the backyard. He, too, was horrified by the headless animal in our backyard, threw a white t-shirt (that was outside for some reason) over the head and ran into the house to find out what happened. Then my dad caught wind of the situation and now everyone except my sister (who presumably was away at college since she wasn’t involved at all) was in the kitchen freaking out. My brother went to his room, my dad made a few calls and my mom and I went out to figure out how to clean up my mess. She instructed me to go inside and get water – and I went to go get water (but I woke up before we finished dealing with the problem).
I had the dream on March 19th-20th
It’s currently the end of the first month of the Year of the Sheep (according to the Chinese calendar) and also the beginning of the Month of Aries (end of March, beginning of April). It’s almost Passover – a time when the Jews sacrificed a Lamb to protect their first born form the tenth plague – so it’s possibly that time of year to dream of sheep… I don’t usually decapitate animals in my dreams by the way.
What does it mean? What should I do?
Also what’s the significance of Aries, Pisces (my brother was born in March) and Aquarius (Water Carrier)?
My Sheep dream:
I was at a wild animal park. Jungle below. Standing on a cliff like in Lion King. Hearing Elephants communicating loudly. Maybe in protest. Behind me a Elephant sanctuary had a baby elephant and as I turned hoping to see more – it went into the back area.
Along came a brown sheared sheep with a harness on who wanted to talk with me and pestering me to take it home with me. It clearly said the word which might have been Salome or something I did not catch as I was paying attention to where there baby elephant went. It seemed like a loving word with wisdom in it. Other people were telling me to take the sheep home as it clearly loved me. I do love sheep in general too but I was distracted by the elephants and being tired.
In the end I took the sheep home and learned to love it. It insisted I carry its leashed harness like a dog. It tried talking to me more but it was not as clear. I kept trying to talk to it hoping all would become clear.
the end… so sweet. Sheep are such wonderful animals – my grandfather who had a sheep herd – named them and they would come to their names to greet him.
GB Elephants, Sheep and All Creatures Great and Small
PS if you don’t have a anything nice to say about this then don’t say it at all…
I wonder if the word, “Salome” was actually “Shalom שלום” meaning Peace (or Hello) in Hebrew, or Salaam (the same word in Arabic). Sheep have been found to be a very popular character in the Old Testament (which is full of Shepherds). Perhaps there’s something to that, but it struck me the possible significance of the utterance, which may have been a Hebrew greeting.
SpSpirit Animal Crow – to bad I can’t flag your bad attitude. All dreams have wisdom in them. It is the stupid who can not respect that. You have now been snake-d… sss…
