Fox animal symbolism and traditions
The fox is often associated with the dark side of magic. In a lot of cultures, seeing a fox as you start a new project or endeavor is a bad omen. In some Native American belief systems, this animal represents the practice of negative sorcery and the dark manipulation of magic powers.
The fox has long been considered as a witty, quick and intelligent. In some European traditional tales, he’s the character who outsmarts humans and other animals alike and gets away even in the trickiest situations.
Dreaming about the fox
The fox and its ability to quietly and masterfully get into the hen house, have made this spirit animal a universal symbol of being sly, cunning, shrewd, clever, tricky and opportunistic. Therefore a fox in your dreams is often a symbol to watch out for danger from around you. There may be hidden enemies or rivals waiting for the right opportunity.
However, the fox may also be a symbol of connecting to the parts of you that are cunning and clever. Is there a situation that requires a clever solution? Is there an opportunity that is just waiting for you to take it?

Close your eyes and take a deep breath in. As you exhale, allow yourself to sink deeper into a state of relaxation.
Imagine yourself walking through a dense forest, the trees towering above you and the underbrush rustling beneath your feet. As you go along a winding path, you suddenly feel a presence behind you – a fox, with its orange and white fur glowing softly in the dim afternoon light.
You are immediately drawn to this quick and clever animal. You follow the fox as it leads you deeper into the forest path. A sense of excitement and adventure wells up inside of you.
As you continue on the path, the fox stops and turns to you, its bright eyes shining with clever wisdom and understanding. It starts to speak to you, its voice soft and reassuring: “I am the fox, the keeper of secrets and the master of disguise. I am a creature of the night, guided by my intuition. A fox appeared twice (in my backyard) when I changed my job six months ago, and again (today) as I transition to a new opportunity. Keen to hear you thoughts on what it’s telling me.

Recently I’ve felt like the fox is my spirit animal. I would be the shy, calm, intelligent side of the fox. But I don’t know. I’ve never seen a fox in the wild or my dreams. If it is my spirit animal, it would be an an arctic fox. I want to see if a fox has chosen me.
Just be open to the spirits and allow them to guide you, no matter how stupid it seems. Just be fearless, but also sometimes it’s fun to play along ;)
I can’t say for sure but I suspect that the Fox could possibly be my niece’s animal spirit guide… it just seems to connect with other possible aspects of her personality traits seen in her tarot card profile… but I don’t know enough to say whether or not that’s certain

I Felt it mite mean something?
Last night I had just gotten home from work. It was about 2a.m. I was sitting on my couch eating a snack before heading to bed when suddenly I see a fox walk up onto my patio and stare at me thru the patio door, I would like to add that I live in town and in an apt building. It just stared at me for a minute and then turned and walked away. This is not the first time I have had interaction with the fox. I have had a group of them stand on the side of the road and watch me until I passed them then they turn around and go back into the woods. I have had another fox run in front of me in a car down the road. Anyone have any ideas?
I SAW A FOX TODAY IN THE CEMETERY WHERE I WAS VISITING MY FATHER AND GREAT GRANDMOTHER. I LOOKED UP WHAT THAT WOULD MEAN AND I FOUND OUT FROM THESE QUOTES. THANK YOU. I NOW KNOW WHAT IT MEANT.

My Farher, a lover of nature, was buried two weeks ago.,I went yesterday to visit his grave and spirit. Upon arriving, I lay my body on his grave and hugged the earth, and cried tears onto the grass. I love and miss my Farger. I was eating a yogurt I had packed,,when out of the Bly, a red fox walked up, stared at me for a few seconds, then walked on out through the cemetery to disappear. I feel it was a message from my Papa. I also had a visit from 2 Canadian geese while I was there. Upon leaving, I spotted on a deserted house across the highway, what I thought was a weathervane, until it moved and flew away. It was a silver tip vulture. I felt there were so many spiritual messages given to me this day. I wonder what they mean?
A red backed Grey sided fox , apparently a young adult was sitting on my doorstep when I came home today , it quickly departed . Later in the early evening I spotted it laying down on the east side of my house .
2 days ago I was driving home at night and a block from my home a fox entered under my car and I could not break because there was a car in my tale that would crash on me. I heard the car passing by it. Then I asked my husband to check if the fox was still alive because I was afraid she would be suffering in pain. She died. I felt really bad but I could have not avoided this accident.
Then this morning I was driving to the supermarket, in the same block, another little fox started crossing the street in front of my car, hopefully it was daylight and I stopped for her to cross the street. I started wondering what would be the meaning of this foxes appearing to me specially the death of a fox. Any idea?
My grandson who is 7 has nightmares every night that he is being eaten by a fox and is terrified any suggestions???
When people have bad dreams it indicates a release in stress. Is there anything going on that he may not be fully expressing? School? Home? Friends? My guess is there is an issue that is eating at him and the fox is trying to get the bottom of it. Good luck
He is at the developmental age when children have a lot of intense nightmares, and this can go on for a little while. It may be helpful for him to know that this phase will ease up in time. That said, he seems to be expressing a feeling of helplessness in his life. Barring home issues, perhaps he is being bullied. Sometimes, often really, children don’t know they’re being bullied,or feel they have no recourse, or need to solve the problem on their own. They are very hesitant to talk about their experience, and cannot be pushed. I found with my own kids that touching base with teachers, observing my child’s behavior, and providing opportunities for conversation with them were helpful approaches. Watch for headaches and reluctance to go to a certain place, like school, church, a certain home, etc. Finding ways to help the child feel powerful can help too. Teaching them to cook, so, make cookies together, for example, or enable one of their interests, are things I’ve done that have helped. Sorry for the long post, good luck!
Red foxes are not a bad sign at all, and may mean the opposite, that the red fox actually wants to help him overcome a problem he has when he is awake, a school problem etc. Comfort him with the fact that most animals want to help us and he is lucky the fox wants to help him. It may take time, but you must persist. Buy fun books for children featuring nice stories of foxes , it is a phase and he will pass through it.
It’s an initiation to higher realms.
I have had a fox follow me twice this week. This morning it came and nipped me on my shoes from behind twice until I turned around and saw it there. It followed me watching me until another couple came along and when close ran off.
