Snake spirit animals, symbols for healing
The snake is close to earth energies and represents life force. Since it’s a reptile, the snake spirit animal is reminiscent of unconscious drives and primal instincts. When the snake spirit animal shows up, pay attention to how you use your energy, and where you draw it from.
If you see the snake as your spirit or power animal, be sensitive to your healing abilities towards yourself or others. Cultivate sources of energy and support, especially as they relate to the earth and nature.
In ancient traditions as well as modern times, snakes are symbols of healing powers and opportunities. In the Greek mythology, Aesclepius, the god of medicine, is featured with two snakes climbing up a rod, the symbol of what is known today as the Caduceus.

The snake and spiritual guidance
The snake can symbolize spiritual guidance. The presence of the snake in your life often means that you are in a period of transition and it points to ways promote your personal growth.
Snake could appear as a spirit animal when you are stepping into the unknown and need support to move forward. This animal is typically close to the ground and can remind you of staying grounded as you move through changes.
Dream interpretation of snakes
When a snake appears in your dreams, it most likely acts as an animal spirit guide inviting you to look at important facts or dynamics that are impacting your life. Snakes featured in dreams often leaves a strong impression on the dreamer: Such dreams tend to be frightening or disturbing because they call on strong unconscious energy.
Whether the snake spirit animal featured in your dream leaves a positive or negative impression, its presence should be considered as an invitation to look at positive changes and transformation.
The dark side of snakes in dreams
When the snake appears in your dream leaves you with a negative feeling, make sure you consider positive meanings as well. The snake spirit animal often appears in dreams as a warning about personal struggles and the need to pay attention to things or events that are escaping your field of awareness.
For instance, when you dream of being bitten or attacked by a snake, it could mean that you need to be careful about important matters you’ve been ignoring so far. If the spirit animal featured in your dream in the shape of a snake is chasing you, it may represent a challenging situation or relationship that you have been avoiding and is pushing you around.
The bottom line is that a dream featuring a snake invites you to check what in your life is “poisonous” and to look at important matters before they sneak up on you and create more damage or difficulty.
Meditation to connect with your snake spirit animal
Take a deep breath in and breathe out. Close your eyes and let yourself relax into a peaceful state. Listen to the sound of your own breath, and allow all other distractions to drift away.
Imagine yourself standing in the middle of a lush green forest. Feel your feet firmly planted on the ground, and sense the warmth of the sun beaming down from above. Look around and find a tall, strong tree with its roots deeply embedded in the soil. This is a sacred tree; it holds great wisdom for you today if you are willing to listen closely.
Feel your body connect with this ancient tree; feel how it radiates strength and stability as you draw closer to it. Now, look up at its branches as they twist and turn up towards the sky like an ever-changing tapestry. Amongst its leaves, you spot something glistening – it’s a snake! The sun reflects off its smooth scales, creating dazzling patterns that seem almost magical in nature.

An inspiring message from your spirit animal
Hear my silent whisper,
As I slither and glide,
I am the spirit of transformation,
The serpent by your side.
From the depths of the earth,
I rise to guide your way,
Through the trials and tribulations,
Of each and every day.
With my venom,
I bring healing,
And the power to let go,
Of the old and the worn,
And to welcome the new.
With my scales,
I remind you,
To trust in your own strength,
And to face your fears head-on,
With courage at length.
So heed my call, dear life traveler,
And allow me to guide,
Through the journey of self-discovery,
And to help you rise inside.

I dreamed last night of a friend of mine and myself being in a room and a mixed colored snake (black and brown) was coiled around a table next to her and I was very frightened by that (in reality I am terrified of snakes and can’t even look at a picture of them)and then she dragged the snake out and I felt a sense of relief and then she brought another one back in, this time it was a bigger yellow snake maybe a boa constrictor. They never moved towards me or try to attack or bite. They just stayed before me. Can someone please tell me what this could mean please?
A minor correction. Herpitologists and general snake enthusiasts are quick to point out that some snakes are *venomous* not *poisonous*.
The difference, simply stated, “If you bite *it* and die, it’s poisonous. If it bites *you* and you die, it’s venomous.”
I think this us an important thing to keep in mind if interpreting a dream or totem.
1. Not all snakes are venomous, and the type of snake is significant as well as certain snakes (the cobra/naga) for example have their own unique mythology and associations in their native cultures.
2. The poison versus venom I mention because poison is usually brought into the body through ingestion, contact, etc – venom only enters the body through direct force/injection.
I would take this to mean that a snake venom would typically be an external force as opposed to poison which is internal.
I Had a dream that I had just been hanging out with my friends and when I left and was walking away I passed out and fell over. When I got up I changed direction and walked up to this big group of scary looking men who were all covered in snake jewelry and tattoos and had snakes on their bikes. The men ended up being super nice. Later in the dream I was working and had a pet snake that was huge and black and it belonged to me and one of my friends. There were also broken snake statues strewn about everywhere. I continued to randomly pass out, fall over, and get back up during this part of the dream. At the end of the dream my pet snake followed me to my couch where I sat down and my snake started to suck on my leg rather aggressively. He never bit it but I was terrified that he would the whole time. Can anyone interpret that for me?
Ihad a dream that my little girls and i were at a strange house in a room and their were alot of snakes, huge snakes surrounding us in every corner of the room and even under the bed. I remember telling my girls not to get off the bed because the snakes were going to bite them. I kept looking under the bed and they were huge snakes everywhere. What does this mean?

Today 5th may 2015. Small black snake (Leptotyphlops carlae) was resting near my feet. It did not move in the beginning and it slowly moved its body when i moved it stopped and played dead. when i tried to move it with a stick it was running on the other direction with full speed. But the snake laid there for more than 5 minutes near my feet. Could you please tell me what does it mean
I dreamed I was walking into the woods with my grand daughter and she and I were about to walk up this flight of stairs that led up to the tops of the trees where we were going to pick fruit and as she and I were about to take our first step I instantly saw a rattle snake under the first step and I grabbed her and tried to run but the snake struck my five year old grand daughter on her leg and I woke up with the feeling of fear for her life
I had a draeran sdbjehdbvuhgd
i had a dream that I was with your moms
I had a dream that I was sitting in my bed talking with a group of people. They invited me to come visit them in their country. They explained that in their country there were snakes everywhere, which at first was alarming to me. But they were not alarmed by the snakes. Then a few snakes started appearing in the bedroom (or I may have just been thinking about snakes and picturing them – can’t remember), seemingly being manifested by us talking about them. I got up to leave the room at some point. As I was leaving I looked back and saw a large black and red snake under my bed. I was a little anxious seeing the snake, but not terrified. Any thoughts on the meaning of this?
It could just be it’s telling you to think better of your decisions, and to watch the influences you gain from friends and the people around you. Not just because you were randomly talking about snakes. It Was simply there. No threats. Just perceived as guidance to a closer look at things in your life. But be patient. You can’t just instantly fix everything.
I had a similar dream. But not quite.
Hope this helped.
