Today before my morning there was a hummingbird flying in my building. I followed it until it fell gently to the ground. I went towards it. I picked it up and there was no fight. Birds are not my favorite in the animal kingdom, but it was soft, gentle, and comfortable with me. I knew I made a friend. When I went to release my new friend outside I opened my palms and he did not fly away. During that time with my palms wide open we communicated we would never forget each other. Now with both of our hearts full of understanding and thankfulness it then hovered away as I started the rest of my day.
Um……what.
I walked into my bedroom and found a hummingbird just sitting on my bed when I walked in it flew out my window to the nearest tree and Sat and talked to me telling me something I wish I knew what it was saying.this just happened about 5 minutes ago and I am having neighborhood trouble that I want to handle in a positive way
Wow
Your experience with the new friend “Hummingbird” was enjoyable to read your post. Did you give em a name?
Well this is weird.. just today my sister was laughing at how comfortable I was with the hummingbirds flying close to my face. what I thought was stranger was just how comfortable they were with me.. I swear this one little guy keeps chirping at me. I’m waiting for the day where he lands on my extended finger
I had one land on my shoulder the other day. I am a 51 year old vet. and am trying to be a better person. What did it mean for it to land on me of all people.
That it wanted to land on you. Don’t think everything is a sign. Things happen like s bird landing on you. A bird has landed on me about 10-15 times. They just find no harm being around and will pop a squat if they feel safe enough to do so. It’s a bird. They can’t judge people and determine if you’re worthy enough to be sat upon. Lol man.
Wonder! Just think wonderful!
Anon, I feel that the hummingbird did, in deed, determine that Cary was to be trusted as a perch. At the end of my hummingbird season I had them close to me but not trusting enough to perch. Next summer I’ll spend more days with them to see if I will become ‘a good hummingbird perch”. If it poops on me I will consider it a lucky charm, but I will wash it off.
this morning I had a baby hummingbird stuck in my porch when I had lowered him down to get him out with a little net I had seen that there was another one that was caught in my porch that had died its so sad.my awsome feeling of letting that one to its freedom just got super sad …
I have had several magical hummingbird experiences. The most dramatic happened many years ago in Sedona, Arizona, while hiking with a group of people as part of a transformational program. During a break when one attendant was getting feedback on an issue, a hummingbird flew right up to me, perhaps 10 inches from my face, and chirped! Immediately, I burst into tears. To this day I don’t know what the tears were about but afterwards I was aware of an profound sense of mental and emotional clarity that I had never experienced before.
That’s awesome!
The connection to butterflies is amazing. They are so fascinating and draw my soul with their beauty and peace. In fact, on a recent trip to Colorado, I was immediately drawn to a turquoise bracelet that I could not take my eyes off of. It was in the shape of a butterfly. More than any jewelery I could afford, it was lovingly bought for me by my husband for our 44th wedding anniversary. This also leads me to the association with hummingbirds. Hummingbirds have always been around me…from where I live in Texas to my visits in Los Angeles, California. Once meditating on my back patio, two hummingbirds flitted around me until one female came to rest on the back of a chair withing two feet of me. She sat and stared for over two minutes. It was breathtaking. Later, a month or so afterwards in Los Angeles, standing on my daughter’s apartment patio – two floor above the street…the same happened. Several hummingbirds flitted around, until one (again, female) hovered in place for over two minutes, just staring and observing me. It was so magical! I understand that I may be tied to tigers – which I adore! At zoos, I stand for an hour or so, just in awe of their beauty, power and grace. I once was told that my spirit animal was a bear, but I could never justify my serendipity or soul-attraction to the bear. Whether butterfly, hummingbird or tiger…I accept them all as my spirit guides and animals. Thank you so much for bringing this clarity and strength to my being. How beautiful.
I’m new here in this city and have never been around hummingbirds, however every morning while sitting on the front porch this hummingbird comes and fly’s within inches of me just staring and everyday he gets closer to me. I’m no longer afraid but it seems like he wants to say something. What does this all mean?
My situation was quite different. One day as I was going up to my top floor apartment, I thought I saw a wasp that typically gets stuck in a corner in the ceiling. I didn’t think anything of it as I went in. I left to run another errand about a Half hour later and that’s when I noticed it was a humming bird because of the chirps. I could tell he was getting exhausted and at risk of falling all the way to the first floor any dying. I went inside and grabbed my broom so I could reach him over the rail and lower him down to the opening. I reached under him and he would rest on the bristles breathing heavily with ruffled head feathers from banging it on the ceiling. After 2 attempts f him trying to fly through the top. He finally let me lower him down so he could fly out of the tall open window. After he flew away I felt my heart get lighter. I felt like I had helped a close family member.
I have a hummingbird to visit me daily does this mean it is my totem spirt guide?
OMG I just took the test and it said I was a hummingbird plus it is almost exactly like me in any type of way I thought I would be a butterfly or an owl but I got a hummingbird.com
A humming bird just stopped infront of me still flying yesterday as I sat outside it just starred at me for half a minute im still not sure what that means really.
I had the same thing happen to me earlier today. I went online to check out some symbolisms and found this: “Hummingbirds are also a reminder of how we expend our own energy. When hummingbirds show up in our lives, it’s a good time to take a look at our energy-stores and resources. hummingbirds warrant an honest look at how we are maintaining our vibrational frequencies. Are we frittering away our energy on needless issues (ie: worry, fear, lack)? Or, are we in a state of well-honed, regulated balance when it comes to our energy and resources?”
Francisco, same thing happened to me, it looked like RIGHT at me, into my eyes….and just held there mid-air, and we just looked at each other.
