My journey started when my cat injured one.  I made a little nest for it and laid it down.  The poor thing cried like a little baby, just wimpering. A bit later I mixed up necter and placed it on a spoon then placed his little beak onto it. To my surprise he started to drink it. Im still in shock. Later he was well enough to fly away. Glad to share my story with you. And every year since,I get a personal visit.

i just rescued a hummingbird that got trapped in my house trying to fly outside form a closed window. I was so surprised it let me hold him in my hands. I was able to release him back outside with no problem <3

I am grateful for the signs my soulgroup sends me. just now I can back from a meeting where I was offered many resources to help me deal with the challenges of being unemployed.I entered the complex and checked my mail to find a correspondence I have been waiting for concerning an appeal. I stopped to watch a beautiful hummingbird on the path to my home. while watching her, she came right up to me, so close I could feel the wind from her wing. she chirped at me twice then flew away. honestly, that was one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had. a clear confirmation that all of this works out more wonderful than anything I could have imagined. that was my immeadiate thought. I am so grateful for this sign…

hank you for this information and these messages.
My much beloved husband passed away 10 months ago. One simple pleasure he enjoyed in some hard days before he died was watching the hummingbirds visit the feeder outside our picture window. His death from lung cancer was both inevitable and way too soon. The hummingbirds have come to represent his playful and loving spirit to our family – a legacy of sorts. Last December I was in charge of a jewelry booth at our church’s holiday bazaar. One of the donations was a beautiful pair of sterling silver hummingbird earrings which I immediately purchased – I knew they were his Solstice gift to me. I wear them as I struggle to go on from this deep loss and keep his spirit and love near me. This morning I filled the red feeder we bought last year and hung it back outside that window and this evening two iridescent green hummingbirds returned, hovering around the feeder and perching in the tree next to it. Such blessing! I felt a little less alone.
I came across this website searching for information about the hummingbird spirit so I could add a hummingbird to the Celtic animal cards I turn to for guidance and inspiration. Thank you for such a rich resource. Thanks to all who posted your stories.

I started writing this blog Spirit Head to chronicle my psychic awakening. Other than the mention of the Kundalini, I’ve found that people rarely incorporate the sexual into their talk of spirit. When the hummingbird showed up for me in a vision, I was the flower.

6:45am,it’s been a cold wet spring, so no attracting flowers.  A leaf blows past my deck windows.  Wait! Was that a hummingbird?  I’ve been wondering whether they are back yet, feeder’s still full after a week. I hope it reappears.  It does!  Outside the door at eye level opposite me inside four feet away, it hovers. The iridescent green tail flicks, the tiny superspeed wings beat beyond vision.  It TAPS THE GLASS with that long, thin beak! Who knew such behavior occurs? Commentators here, apparently; they confirm similar episodes, and I say thank you.  Love these dear little creatures, grateful for a remarkable first sighting of this summer.

As I read this I had had a hummingbird fluttering so close to my head I could feel the turbulence caused by its flight. I have actually been feeling trapped in my present circumstance and energy low. Thank you to the Universe for the reminder that this is only a place along the journey, not the journey itself. Mahola

Thanks to all of the earlier posts before me. I have a few little hummingbirds in my backyard. But there is one who come to the back door everyday to make sure I see him, and if I’m busy in the kitchen he will hit the glass to get my attention. My husband will say your bird is looking for you. And I always give him my attention and tell him how beautiful he/she is. One of this built their little nest in our Tree last year right in front of our window. I’m so happy I read the other post now I understand much better why he is here.

I am having what my friend calls a closure seizure . . . everything is trying to come to completion all at once, and not very gracefully I might add. I will spare the details, just take my word for it: I have a dozen plates spinning and it feels like they are all about to crash.

So I am breathing, taking as much time as I can for myself, working through each crisis one tiny step at a time. And then today, I decided to take the time to put the first hummingbird feeder of the season out on my deck. Before I could even get it on the hook, a ruby throated hummer flew in from nowhere and began slurping the nectar. I froze and watched him sip, close enough to feel the brush of his vibrating wings. It was a magical moment, breath-taking, exhilarating. My heat beat almost as fast as his. He fed my spirit as much as I fed his tiny little form. I am changed for the experience and shall carry his image and his gift with me always.

I’m currently searching for my spirit animal and was scanning the list of possibilities when I automatically stopped on this post. I’m wondering if it’s possible that this beautiful bird may be it (or one of them). A few years ago, I started to notice that every time I was stressed out or fighting with my boyfriend at the time, a humming bird would always appear in my back yard or friend’s house- depending where I was. I know it’s normal to see them here and there, but sometimes they wouldn’t be so quick to fly away… sometimes they would just hover there for a good moment and look at me in interest before flying off and doing their own thing. It’s really interesting to think about, especially because I can relate to almost everything in the description.

I have lived in my apartment for a month now. I was lucky to have gotten it. There is a little hummingbird that often flies near my balcony. At first I thought it coincidence but then every time I am having a bad day or something big but not good occurs, third little hummingbird comes out of no where and just hovers for a moment. Each time this has happened, I have felt eased and joyous again. This amazing little bird will do this several times a day it seems as if it’s duty to keep me positive and motivated to keep strong and continue moving forward.
