I was letting my dog in at 2am and I let him inside our walkout basement doors and I turned around and walked forward about 4 steps. I had a ” feeling ” something was different.
I saw something moving quickly in a forward direction away from me but all I could see was it was not a human. All of the sudden this huge buck with a huge rack of antlers is standing about 5 feet in front of me.. Standing stopped, looking directly at me. My heart was beating so fast but not in fear, I felt no fear and not afraid that he was going to hurt me in anyway. We were looking at each other and my street is very dark but I could see his eyes because of the lights that were on in the basement.. Those were illuminating him and he was massive. Thick in size, his height was taller then me .. Beautiful , just beautiful.
I don’t know how long we stood there, not long enough if you ask me but then he just turned and just walked away. I believe of all times that the buck deer and I crossed paths at that exact same time, at that exact moment in time like that can not be a coincidence. I had fallen asleep on the couch and jumped up to go let dog in.. It just can’t be luck.
I live in a heavily populated city off of a very busy state route.
I am a very spiritual person and I feel this has a meaning. Could you kindly provide me with your insights ? I would be so grateful.
Sunday while walking to our local store, my daughter and I came accross a female deer that had attempted to jump a chain link fence. It was impaled by a barb wire fence post that had been left there from long ago. She was dying, scared, and panicking. I was able to go right up to her, comfort her, and love her in herlast moments.I had called animal control and I continued to hold her head in my lap and speak to her to keep her calm until they arrived. I feel she has been with me….as I know they more than likely put her down after I was told to leave. I am blessed to have her as a new guide and I am sure I will learn much from her.
I have been seeing deer a lot lately but this morning 2 actually spoke to my spirit. I have been fighting a cold lately and I had one more day of work to fight through before I had a couple days off. (I’m an RN on a post survival unit at an inner city hospital). I woke up this morning feeling the worse I’d felt so far, but I’m stubborn and decided to fight through one more 12 hour shift. (Nurses are the worst patients) I see deer sporadically on my way to and from work, it’s not an extraordinary thing, but this morning as I rounded the curve to tbe main road two young does came into the middle of the road and caused me to come to a dead stop. I honked, flashed my brights, honked again. Then I just took a second to look at them. They were both looking straight at me.almost as if to say “go home. If you won’t look out for yourself, we will
” I listened. I went home, called the doctor, and ended up being diagnosed with pneumonia. Just taking a moment to listen and following through saved me and possibly many patients. Thank you to nature and the spirits within.
I once had a dream I was a strong man in a beautiful clear moonlit river with a beautiful woman. We were about to court when she asked me if I had met with my deer/spirit animal yet. I had to scale a cliff to get to a white stag at the top. The dream was odd seeing as I’m a 18 year old girl! Any thoughts on this?
I found this quiz and the results really interesting. It is also very accurate. As the deer I am very sensitive and should learn to trust my instincts and inner child more!
i did this with my whole family, and my sister got the same as me, my other sister got a butterfly, and so did my mother.
This spirit animal is true, because i am sensitive (always) and i do look out for danger in any small corner, but i just can’t believe my animal is a deer!

Not everything they said about my spirit animal is true, example, I am not gentle. AT ALL.
I have mediated so see what was my animal spirit is. And a deer had came in to view.. I love seeing deer’s and I can understand why a deer has chosen me to be my spirit guide. At the moment I need to be reminded to be calm and patient. I don’t mind the hunting and I was raise as that is a food source, like cows, chicken and buffalos. And other animals that we eat.. I do think its sad to take a animals life so I can live, but I can see that’s the circle of life. I do want the Indian do. Pray to the spirit animal tell him thank for giving his life for me so I could live. And plus its a dog eat dog world. Just saying.
I find it funny that people think that you can’t hunt and be spiritual or have respect/admiration for deer. I certainly don’t enjoy killing animals and I don’t hunt for trophies. There has been times when venison was the only thing my family has had to eat. Native Americans hunted and thanked the spirits of animals they killed for giving their lives so they could survive. Personally I believe hunting brings me closer to nature.
When I was about nine maybe ten years old I was visiting with my mom, one of her boyfriend’s relatives’ house for Thanksgiving up in New York. I remember eating some kind of meat that didn’t taste like turkey or chicken and so I ended spitting it out and getting sick to my stomach the rest of the day. Later on I was outside, looking for something to do considering that I was one of the only children there at the time when I walked into the garage and there hanging on these meat hooks were two or three female deer skinned and bloodied, there big brown eyes wide open with the fear of death still in them. I remember just standing there frozen, and than one of the guys that were obvious a cousin or brother of my mother’s boyfriend came in the garage. He had been drinking and so obviously thought that it would be fun to mess with the little girl. So he looked at me, pointed at the deer and said “That’s what happened to Bambi’s mom” and than he laughed. I broke down crying and ever since made a silent vow to myself to never hunt, never support hunting in any way and I would never eat venison (which I later found out was the meat that made me sick). This experience has haunted me my entire life, I’ve always thought that deers were adorable, beautiful and quiet majestic creatures and I never understood the point of hunting and killing them. Especially after my experience when I was a little girl. So then I stumbled across this website looking up the meaning of animals, took the spirit animal quiz and I got deer. And at first I didn’t think much of it until I remember this experience I had when I was a little girl and how those deer hanging in that garage, and that meat someone told me eat had made me more sensitive when it came to animals and hunting. And according to this, the deer as a an animal spirit is gentle and sensitive. And I guess that what that experience helped mold me into becoming towards not only deer but to animals and people as well.
