A power animal symbolic of freedom
Wolf power or spirit animals point to an appetite for freedom and living life powerfully, guided by instincts. When a wolf manifests its presence as a guide in your life, it could be a call to live your life more freely, to bring the intensity of passion in your everyday endeavors.
Wolves are wild animals that are not easily domesticated and when they appear as spirit guides, they could be an invitation to look at what supports your authentic self and the true expression of yourself. The wolf totem is a reminder to keep your spirit alive and trust your instincts to find the way that will best suit you.
An example of determination and resilience
In the wild, wolves may face many challenges and obstacles, but they persevere and find ways to survive and thrive. This tenacious animal can adapt to changing circumstances, no matter how hard they seem to be.

A symbol of community and connection
Wolves are known for their strong social bonds. They hunt in packs, relying on strong communication and cooperation to survive. This emphasis on community and connection is reflected in the wisdom of the wolf spirit animal.

The dark side of the wolf spirit animal
The dark side of the wolf totem: Sensitivity about feelings of threat
A wolf totem animal can represent a perceived threat or feeling you are being threatened. The presence of this spirit animal could be a reminder of an event, situation or a person you feel threatened by.
The wolf could reflect something that may have a “predatory” feel to it and instill a feeling of vulnerability that is not reassuring. Encountering your spirit animal in such a way invites you to look at who or what in your life is having such an influence.
Perhaps your spirit animal is warning you about challenges with personal boundaries: You may feel you have exposed yourself too much with someone or in a certain situation and need to pull back or strengthen emotional or physical boundaries with that person or in the context of that experience. The wolf as a spirit animal could also remind you that you’re facing stiff competition at work or that the behavior of people around may feel like you have to deal with a “pack of wolves”.
The wolf as representation being guided or misguided by instincts
Since a common meaning for the wolf spirit animal emphasizes the role of instincts, having this animal as a guide or totem could point to your relationship with how you live your life, and more specifically how you trust or mistrust your instincts and intuitive guidance.
Check whether you feel threatened by your own instincts and feelings. The presence of your wolf power animal could reflect your inner emotional landscape and bring to your awareness your own feelings about a matter that is highly emotionally charged.
Dream interpretation of the wolf spirit animal
The dream meanings associated with the wolf point to powerful instincts or habits that could be experienced as aggressive or dominating by others. Wolves in dreams convey the energetic imprint of strong sexual energy or addictive behaviors of different kinds that would benefit from being kept in check.
If a woman dreams of a wolf in a nightmare or anxious dream, she may be getting in touch with anxiety relating to a male partner who may be pushing his sexual desires very strongly or pushing her boundaries. The intensity of the relationship can cause fear and be experienced as a threat that the wolf symbolizes in the dream.
If the dream has a positive tone or outcome, the wolf could be interpreted as a guiding symbol for trusting your instincts more or expressing them in a more balanced manner. If you have such a dream, ask yourself if you feel at ease and supported by your instincts, especially your sexuality or a partner’s sexual expression, or other types of “cravings” in your life.

i have had this reoccurring dream threw out my life. I am always the wolf running in the woods. I never remember any other part of my dream just the seeing and feeling myself be the wolf and running in the forest. I still feel the way it felt when I think back on the dreams.
Ok,so me and my friends didn’t know each other until my teacher made all of us take a spirit animal test and we were the only ones, except for these five girls who cheated on it, that got wolf and they didn’t even tell us what we were they just had us hang out together. And we pretended that all five of us exept the cheaters were wolves living as people without knowing and none of us took this test before. When they told us the room fell silent. Even for the tiger there was giggling but not the wolf. So they said BB, CeCe,JLo , Bubble But, and then they said my name we walked on stage. Then they just clapped like normal. And later that night I had a sleepover in my cabin and there aren’t wolves around and all of my friends saw their wolf. BB saw a kind of yellow one (she said any way) CeCe say a white one, JLo saw a light gray one, Bubble But saw a dark gray one, and I saw this alpha like one she looked strong stunning and beautiful and she was black and I am super light so it was amazing. And we all had the same dream we were all in the forest and our companions were across from us and we were hunting with them and when mine ate the half of the deer we woke up. And we drew them. But we lost ours. So yeah. Thank you for reading my experience
I have had multiple dreams with two very intricate storyline a and both of which I was able to transform into a wolf. The feelings of these dreams are confused because I felt like it wasn’t and was me. In the first dream I was running and was an,e to transform into a black wolf. My family was there and they chased me and I attacked back and snarled until they realized it was me. Then they also turned into wolves. The second dream I was a white wolf and it was snowy out. I was mainly alone but ran into other people who transformed but they were not wolves. The main feeli associated with these dreams is solitude. Because even if I had met other people in my dream I was still alone and it was ok to be alone. Bei a wolf kept me safe in my dreams. I just don’t really understand what they mean. It’s been happening every night.
Wow! Cool dream! It happened to me too! Here’s my answer: To see a white wolf in your dream signifies valor and victory. You have the ability to see the light even in your darkest hours. To see a black wolf in your dream represents your shadow. There are characteristics of the wolf that you are refusing to acknowledge or incorporate into your Self.
As for the shape-shifting, it’s your spirit animal helping you, and it’s also your feelings. For example, you were angry when people were chasing you! If you want to know more: http://www.spirit-animals.com/wolf/ It helped me too! And I hope you are able to understand this! :)
I had a weird dream, I was walking in the forest as my human self, and stumbled across a golden furred wolf w/ brown eyes. He said, “Hello, Flare,” and I thought for a second… My name isn’t Flare?! And how can he talk?! I looked at myself and I was white w/ grey patches everywhere on my… Fur I guess you could say now, and I looked at my reflection in the water; I had red colored eyes! He told me a few things and he was funny! He started padding away but before he did he said “My name is Sol.” Then I woke up. Wh-Wha?! I felt like he was familiar and I knew him since I was a 4… What is it? Thoughts? Opinions?
And yes I realized I put the name as my username… I was too confused!
Hi! I need help plz! When it said that when your near someone that you feel threatened by, out of no where I growl… why am I growling?! I’m nice to a lot of people at school! But for certain people I growl! What the heck is goin’ on?! Also can you guys give me tips for meditation? It’s confusing for me… thanks!
look at therians
The wolf is your theriotype (inner animal) not spirit animal
I had this dream where I was in the middle of a war (don’t know why) and I watched people get shot, so I was scared. All of a sudden it stopped. Then a wolf came out and walked towards me. My guts told me to run but I wanted to see what happened. It walked up to me and looked up with kind eyes and then nosed my hand and started walking away. I didn’t tell anyone, because I knew people would say I’m crazy, so I’ll ask you guys, what was that?!
I am my favorite animal. That is so cool.
Like the wolf that howls, do you need to let some of the tension out and express yourself loud and clear in your circle of close relationships?
this is my problem
I seen my spirit guide as a wolf in a meditation guided from a shaman online. Could you give me some more insight into how to develop myself spiritually, information, regarding this..
So, if you meditate and do it for a long time, you can have visions?
Not necessarily, it’s more to do with practice. You have to learn how to get into that calm state of mind needed for true meditation. If you’re truly calm you might be able to see images.
I have recently meditated with Deepak Chopra..In almost every meditation I see my wolf…it is Kynna the wolf that was slaughtered in Sweden or Norway..she is always with me..mostly by herself..she once brought a black wolf gentleman with her and also Luna, a pup I was fostering..she always takes me places..swimming, to beautiful wild nature places..sometimes to heaven and a couple times to see my deceased dad…I love her and I am so very happy she is my spirit guide…I think I could have died at least ten times. she is watching out for me and in turn I have been advocating for wolves and wildlife since I was 14…I have many wolf movies, books, pictures, statues, candle holders…posters..I even have a Robert Batemen..I have seen two wolves in the wild and I was absolutely thrilled to see them…I hope that I can make a difference to prolong their waning population somehow.
WTF?
I didn’t exactly have to meditate to see my to wolves is that odd!?
The wolf was on my front porch. My dog was 6 feet away and barking at it.
I grabbed my dog and tossed him in the house. I went for the gun and camera but couldnt find the gun. It walked away and I followed it with my truck. It was not afraid of me and showed no aggression. I took pictures and a short movie. It put its feet on the door of my truck and the yellow eyes burned a hole in me. I sat fascinated as it walked away. Not tame, no collar. Head 12-14 inches across, front paws bigger than my hands, 48-50 inches at the shoulder, grey in color. I could not tell what sex it was. I have never understood why it didnt kill my dog or the entire experience.
Mine happened through meditation I saw a fiery pyramid with the eye and than I saw the wolf looking at me calmly…(-:
Not sure what that is about …?
Could you tell me how you got into meditation and/or calm state? I can’t do it… it’s hard, for me at least. Also do you have a specific place to meditate? Sorry about the questions but, you saw an illuminati symbol? NICE!!!
